| The Book of Myths™ The Book of Myths - The Myth Hunters
The Book of Myths might become a fairy tale for you - for some, useless waste of time. Yet there are few who will believe this; For this is, indeed, history. We all know what myths are, yes... but a "Myth Hunter"? This will perhaps be the first time you hear this. Do not bother to look for it in any kind of history book. They did not believe in it. Now you wonder, what is that? A profession. We would have been called 'Vampire Hunters', but as we are more than that... we are partly vampires (which hardly anyone believes in, either). We are rare, indeed. Yet old. Three Bloodlines, and one which is a rather "exceptionable" line, which only one started to exist for ten thousand years ago. Technically, myth hunters are elves "but" not fully. A small part of them are vampires, as said, but not even half. Despite this though, there is one bloodline who were bitten, trained very hard, well... many times reaching their own deaths... and without choice. This is the "exceptionable" bloodline. Perhaps I should explain the bloodlines to you. The Book of Myths - The Bloodlines - Sin'areln / Are'sain
Sin'areln / Are'sain - Bloodsorrow. This is the eldest line, yet however: fewest. Four, to be honest. Thel'nala, who were the first to give himself a cure to the curse of the vampire, yet to keep the "superior" strength. Currently, it's unknown if he's either alive or not. Rethda, son of Thel'nala Bloodsorrow. This man was the most feared Myth Hunter there ever was: He was one of the most cruel being nature could ever create. Nothing was enough for this man, yet he always strived to bring it to more than enough. His name could even give the shiver into the vampires' spine by just hearing his name in whispers. Currently, like Thel'nala, it's unknown if he's either alive or not any more. He was also the one wielding the legendary Myth Blade, named Zentela'ans, Final Judgement. Turidas, son of Rethda Bloodsorrow II. So far I have lived a life for over two thousand years, which will not end anytime soon either. Most of my life I've been caring for nothing, didn't care if a innocent being died if they got in my way. I only did what my job, as always, and didn't want to be interrupted. Of course, lately I have given up almost fully with my Myth Hunting, which is against our 'law' and have tried to give myself an entirely new life. A normal life. The Sin'areln / Are'sain are specialised at most things, unlike the other lines who were specialised for just one thing. Alas, we are the most sad ones. For we have more weaknesses, and we easily gets more fragile by them and there for our weaknesses are all different. For vampires, the Sin'areln / Are'sain was the most known bloodline - no one would ever live a long life without to know that name. Mainly because of the slaughtering Rethda has caused to them, but also for that Thel'nala was the one who found a cure against the vampire effect.
The Book of Myths - The Bloodlines - Tsin'zaram / Sin'maren
Tsin'zaram / Sin'maren - Silverblade. This is the second oldest line. They are quite a "few more" than the Bloodsorrow ones. The first Silverblade was cured by Thel'nala, but not fully. His name was Theneras, and he worked with Thel'nala for quite some time. The Bloodsorrow and Silverblade lines were allies, until that Thel'nala's grandson was slain by Rethda and there for a 'war' between the bloodlines has been. The grandson, named Tsinareth, was a 'hero' amongst the Silverblade for the vampires he had slaughtered and the enemies that was against them. His only mistake was when he ever managed to fight towards Rethda in a duel. Now, Tsinareth lies in his coffin, awaiting that his bloodline will one day resurrect him with the blood of a Bloodsorrow. The Tsin'zaram / Sin'maren are very specialised in the art of physical combat, will it be melee, ranged or even both. Due this, however, they lack any knowledge of the spell using. Their weakness are the sun - they do not 'die' of course, but they are weaker than non-myth hunters during it, so there for they are mainly working as assassins during the night to make sure they won't go noticed. The Book of Myths - The Bloodlines - Belore'dali / San'arnet
Belore'dali / San'arnet - Sunslayer. This is the youngest bloodline. The first one of the bloodline, made herself a 'goddess' amongst her 'children'. Her name is Sali'nathes. They are the largest bloodline. However, by Rethda the so-called 'goddess' were banished. While she lives now in the nethers, her children still remains in normal world, having a link betwene it and Sali'nathes. They often attempts to make sacrifices from vampires, myth hunters and even non-vampiric creatures to her - hoping to summon their beloved goddess back to their world. Their current 'leader' is Tardali, who is the right hand of the goddess and - unlike most - nearly fully vampire. The Blore'dali / San'arnet are specialised with the arts of dark magic, have it with the mind, the shadows or the void. Their weakness is that they can only feed on the blood their 'goddess' has blessed. Although, this means they do not need to feed just as much. The Book of Myths - The Bloodlines - Shindu'dal / Ano'tias
Shindu'dal Ano'tias - Puresoul. This path is an "exception" to the rest - they are clearly normal elves, who have been trained by a myth hunter. After their training, they are a part of the myth hunter's bloodline. The Puresoul can, of course, only be a 'temporary title'. Depending on what bloodline they are with, they can train themselves very far and well enough to actually become a 'part' of their bloodlines. This, however, is only possible if they are able to fight a more 'superior' member of the bloodline they are a part with. Some of the most known Shindu'dal / Ano'tias from each blood line that should be named would be these. Of the Silverblade: Thare'tsar. This was the most powerful Puresoul that have ever been trained. He were more superior than most of the true myth hunters. Trained by Theneras himself. Not known if alive or not. Of the Sunslayer: Salieth. She was one of the quickest to ever learn the arts of myth hunters. However, only years later she began her training to become a Myth Slayer. Trained by Tardali. Still alive. The Book of Myths - Myth Hunters' Curse
The Myth Hunters are a very rare profession in this world. They are normally Vampire Hunters but as they are hidden and been trained their whole childhood they are called the "Myth Hunters". Despite they hunt vampires indeed, they are also partly vampires. While they gain something out of it which may prove useful, such as speed, strength, thinking, anything at all - they all recive different things that makes them worse... There is one thing they all got in common; Even though they can survive a very long time without blood - one time, each month, they will bring themselves into a blood frenzy. First they forget for a moment what they are currently doing, shortly after coughing. In most cases, they cough their old blood they no longer can have. During this they will start to get a hazed look in their eyes, as their fangs of the teeth grows. There is half an hour after this has stopped that they lose their own will - until they have drank the blood of either Sin'dorei, Quel'dorei or Human. If the myth hunter does not get done until the sun rises, they will spend the next day weak - their hair is gray, the skin is pale and the eyes are red. Only until the night they become strong enough to look for more blood. The Book of Myths - The Vampire Cure
The first vampire cure was made by Thel'nala Bloodsorrow. The only way to be cured is by a potion and that you have been a vampire for less than six months. To brew the potion itself, you will need a flask which is made out of Azerothian Diamonds - mind it now, cleansed ones, if you would find one within Felwood it's far away from being cleansed but has a taint of fel in it. Together with it you will need Truesilver dust, not too much or it would easily kill the vampire you're trying to cure, that haven't been mixed with any kind of dust at all. The dust would otherwise make the progress longer and if it is longer the vampire will die, too. (You might wonder right now; Is this a cure I'm talking about or a poison that just fails if you do as I tell you to?) Next you are in need of many different kind of herbs from the Eastern Kingdoms but, that is to be hidden for people who has no reason to know the cure. The hardest parts is the blood. You will need to cut the vampire's throat with a silver knife, 'very' carefully, and fill the flask half way, which is a lot. After that, you will need the blood of a Sin'areln or blessed blood of a Belore'dali to fill it nearly to the very end of the flask, also being cut by a silver knife by the throat gently - from there, fill it with the truesilver. It must be closed directly after the truesilver has filled the flask as the blood will boil if sun reaches it - but of course, an Azerothian Diamond interupts the sun's light and it won't give the same effect. This will need to be mixed together, so leave it for twelve hours and it should shortly after be ready. When the cure will take part of the vampire (or Myth hunter), the vampire will need to drink all of it - even that the very first second will feel like razor sharp blades going down your throat (Therefor that you use silver chains, it should help enough). When the flask is empty, directly start with a spell to make it work correctly - the spell itself goes: "By shadows you have come, by shadows you will return. The light which you once were, the light you will become again. May the evil of your dark soul find it's rest, and may the good of you take a part of your life. May freedom fill your body, may your body again feel the meaning to exist." Now, if you would, however, end before the last part, you would not cure the vampire fully - but instead, a Myth Hunter is born. This effect won't be able to work again until six months afterwards. The Book of Myths - The Dawnbreeze
The Dawnbreeze is the most famous vampire bloodline there is - They are the next eldest bloodline, and generations older than the Sin'areln. They were many, as they both was married with other known vampire bloodlines and vampires who they loved as non-vampires. They all had one common enemy bloodline, though, which was the Sin'areln. Thel'nala was first bitten by one, and he used them as revenge for experiments, using their blood as a cure and even tried to consume their powers at many different ways. Rethda was the most hated one - for he had slaughtered far too many of the Dawnbreeze families, also using them to experiments like his father - but also used their dead corpses as training dummies. He even had a joy to slay the parents of small vampire children in front of their eyes, so very, very brutally... When the day came they heard news of that Rethda died, they all had joy - finally at peace to know the Sin'areln would never bother them again. Which was wrong, for they did not know Rethda had a son. I, Turidas, though, unlike my father and grandfather, did not slay vampires unles I was forced - sadly I was at the most times but this is nothing I could have helped. But, should I be able to - I would first fight the vampire until it gives up and make it a deal. Either it would die, or it would leave that place and never return - leave to The Haven of Myths. For families, I cured the vampire children to become normal elven ones, as the parents could either choose to only drink blood on the guilty who deserved death, or leave to The Haven of Myths themselves - leaving their children as orphans but to still have a better life.

| The Book of Myths - The Myth Slayers The Myth Slayers are another type of Myth Hunters. However: They are myth hunters who either lefted or was forced to leave their bloodline and live on their own. While they no longer has a right to have their bloodline's name, rare cases even to keep their first name, they instead use their own types of 'titles'. While no longer in a bloodline, they instead pledged themselves to one of the ancient vampire lords. By that, they are stronger than 'normal' myth hunters. Each of these has no name, Some of them will be explained, and mind, they gave themselves their titles for a 'reason'. The Myth Slayer - This is one of the more 'uniqe' ones. She were once a Bloodsorrow, my younger sister. She is a true weaponmaster who can control the holy light to improve her fighting abilities. Her eyes are covered by a deep scar, turning her blind. But instead, she uses her hearing - much better than many others by being capable of knowing what surroundings it is, how far away a person is and hearing their hearts who they are. This is the most known Myth Slayer, as all her training was from the ancient vampire lord - Arunest. She is also the very first one join him - as well as being the first one to leave. The Mimic - While he is nothing on his own, this might be a person's biggest enemy. Whatever the opponent does against The Mimic, he will reply the attack the very same. Only different is: he manages more wounds and therefor hard to kill. If not impossible if anyone wishes to still remain alive. He often appears as a 'guaridan' within The Haven of Myths, placed in a mirror, looking just the same as the one looking into it first. However, even if the mirror would be destroyed, the mimic takes a 'normal' humanoid shape. Previously a part of the Tsin'zaram. The Bloodvoid - A man who wields a chain with several sharp razorblades at the far end of it. This causes him to be very deadly in melee, as his opponents might won't reach him until they get hit themselves. And by swinging the chain in circles, he can create a reflecting shield around him. Once he manages to wound his enemies, he curses it, as the blood never stops to pour out of the wound, slowly leading to The Bloodvoid for him to drink, causing him to be stronger and mend his wounds. Only way to rid of it is to kill The Bloodvoid. Previously Belore'dali. The Messenger - A blind, deaf and a man without being able to smell, rather thin and weaklooking. While not carrying any kind of weapon, he is a man who can wield his spells easily. With the cost to become blind, deaf and other things, he then got paid with the magical strength, unlike many others ever would be able to get. He is especially well with his telekanesis, being able to reform his surroundings. He feels where his opponents are thanks to the wind and earth. His hand is always holding something, no matter what happens. The item in the hand, is a wedding ring, something to remind him of his wife who were the cause of leaving his bloodline. Previously a Belore'dali. The Clairvoyant - The look of a yong man, who's clearly underestimating people. He has several markings over his face, together with rings in ears and lips. His hands is covered in bandage, while the skin has been burnt away, leaving only flesh and bones left. He is extremely quick, but that is not what makes him a deadly man. He can see up to a minute into the future, letting him be able to avoid anything that would harm him, and easily attack back. It is only his hands which seems to ever been hurt, basicaly for having a habbit to fight against anything that is warm, which should prove elementals out of fire to be a challange for him. His only weapons are claws he can bring out of his fingers. Previously Tsin'zaram. Mantis - A rather 'sinister' person. He appears as only a child, making it harder for people to even consider to kill him. He is always dressed up in small robes, but clearly big enough to make half of it being dragged after on the ground. He is not to underestimate for his look. He can easily enter the mind of someone in a far distance, controlling them if he wishes too. The weaker mind his targets has, the more control. He is also able to give people visions, such as a bridge across a cliff to the other side. Previously Belore'dali. The Nymph - The title itself tells enough. A beautiful looking woman, using her beauty to be able to take control of not only men, but women as well. She has several tatoos crossing her body, which is moving around on her skin. However; It is not a tatoo. It is a dark, bladed living chain which crawls her skin, going out of her body wherever she wishes to. While her victim is within her arms embrace, they have already died. However, her 'weapon' itself is rather fragile. She is easily able to paralyze her victim by looking into their eyes. Previously Shindu'dal. The Eternal - Unlike others, this one doesn't have it's own body. It's appearance is simply a ghost, half his body skeleton and half his body filled with rotten flesh. Only magical weapon is able to harm him. While he has no real 'offensive' abilities, it can haunt people and frighten them, making them still to attempt to kill him. When they do so, however, it enters the opponent's body and therefor possessing it until the moment it's too afraid to remain in the body. Only way to kill him is by killing him together with the body he's in. He is the most famous Myth Slayer, for being the only one to defeat the Myth Hunter; Rethda Bloodsorrow II. Previously Belore'dali. The Dreamwalker - A man who's capable of controling people's dreams, not waking up until they have reached the 'end' of it. The Dreamwalker often invades the dreams with several nightmare minions, building a defense to prevent anyone waking the unfortunate dreamer up. If he is 'kind enough', he can slay the dreaming one within the nightmare, ending up dying the very same way he died in the dream. Otherwise he appears as a very common person, very unlike other myth slayers and myth hunters. So to speak, he was a Shindu'dal. That's why he can be able to live anywhere without a myth hunter knowing his position, despite their myth hunter necklace. Previously Belore'dali. The Shadow - A lady shadow. She has no physical form, only her shadow. Her weapons are blades which is meld into the shadow. Her voice is echoing, mostly sounding to appear from different directions. The only way capable of hitting her, is if her own opponent hits her, but as quick as she is she can easily direct her shadow at any way possible and not just one, she can even appear in the middle of a dessert. When she is in a shadowy area, she can take a more 'humanoid' form, although still only a shadow. By then, also, her eyes are blood red. It is told she once had an elven body, but lost it during a punishment of the Vampire lord for trying to slay him, now only filled with hatred. Previously Tsin'zaram. The Shifter - A 'shapeless' man. While he cannot have a form of himself, he instead touches other living beings to take their forms, and sometimes even their souls to gain all their memories and all alike. He is known to have had the abilities once of his master - some even wonders if he was his brother, rather than a Myth Hunter. While stealing souls, he gains some extra 'lives'. Each time he himself would die, a soul would die. Yet however, the more souls he has consumed, the weaker he gets. Previous Tsin'Zaram. The Weapon - A living armour, or weapon, your choice. His appearence can take the shape of any armour or weapon, whatever size wanted. He can become more than one, however. For example he could become two swords, a spear and a large axe at the same time, staying above ground and moves like a ghostly weapon. He can also make the weapons appear out of his body when he's in his 'normal' state, which is still just a set of armour. No one knows his true form, but he often takes the form of a dark armour with one spike on each shoulder pad, and two horns going up from the helm, together with a long cloak that covers almost his entire body. He is the most loyal one to the Vampire Lord and thus he is the right hand of him, the most powerful Myth Slayer there is. It is told that he once defeated ten myth hunters, five of the Tsin'zaram and five of the Belore'dali, single handed without to be hurt at all. The metal he's made out of is unknown but what is told, is that it's enchanted Titansteel, as some tells it's even more powerful. One thing is known: He could even defeat the 'legendary' Myth Hunter, Rethda Bloodsorrow II. The Experiment - A yet-to-be Myth Slayer who still has no name. So far, not much is known of this one but few things. He is the younger brother of The Nymph, who takes the punishment of The Nymph's 'rebelling' she once did. His appearence so far is an 'unstable' elven form, with more 'limbs' and the skin is all removed as the bones and flesh are visible. He's never capable of staying in one form for long enough, atleast not without to make smaller changes now and then. He is also treated as The Weapon's 'pet'.

| The Book of Myths - The Myth Slayer Many years ago... "...and so, you should understand by now the... 'risks' of even considering leaving me, child." Alusia gave a nod at Arunest who stood at the entrance of the room - covered in shadows with only his eyes glowing red with burning hatred yet with charm - speaking to her. "One more time... and I am certaint we will have one last meeting. Have yourself a good night." The glowing eyes faded out - leaving Alusia to jumps backwards, spinning and fall down in her bed, her face down against the pillow. One thing was in her mind: Leaving this dreadful 'Haven of Myths'. She spent her entire life in it. The Haven of Myths... a underworld where vampires and myth hunters manages to stand close enough to each others without to attempt killing each others. It was... peaceful for them. Yet boring. It was there the vampire lord - or atleast one of them - Arunest lived in and controlled. He's the creator of the so called Myth Slayers... Alusia was the first one who became one and thus: Her name was The Myth Slayer. Her father - Rethda Bloodsorrow II - was the most known Myth Hunter on the 'surface'. Her mother, no clues. Alusia was young, yet never had much of options what to do. They were 'limited'. She began to train to first become a Myth Hunter for fourty years, but soon enough Arunest came. He changed her future plans to become a Myth Slayer. Rethda did not have much of a choice that it was even stupid of him to fight him in the haven of his minions, and thus left. The training was worse but shorter - she managed to get done extremely quickly, mostly thanks to her blood. Alusia was always the kind-hearted, friendly person who wanted to take care of those who were not capable of protecting themselves properly - by this, she didn't care about the 'mortals', but the vampires who've been hunt down for ages by the Myth Hunters. She sworn to slay them - a good chance to give revenge against her father. Alusia never really seen the surface before, but heard of the sun and the moon. The sun giving life to the green, beautiful forests... and the moon which was what made the myth hunters and vampires stronger during it was up and hiding the sun. The moon to her seemed to be the most beautiful thing someone ever told to her. Alusia wanted to go to the surface but that would break the rules and would cause her to betray her master. Her master, of course, will not accept that. She did, on the other hand, try once... Days before, a 'visitor' came. A man in dark armor, a Myth Hunter necklace around his neck and a Myth Hunter blade at his back. He always had a smirk on his lips, or a grin. His hair was long and white, having short beard which was suprising to see an 'elven being' to have. The first day he came, many told rumours about him being a proffesional Myth Hunter - one who could stand against several vampires on his own, no matter how much they would injure him. This was intresting to Alusia, of course, as he might seemed to be a challange for Myth Slayer training. Arunest knew this that she wanted to fight him. The day after it happend - Arunest had the strange man thrown into the fighting pit against Alusia. The fight was long and exciting - the crowd was shouting on who would win, most of them on Alusia. The fight itself barely took place in the pit as the man and Alusia spent their fighting in a cave, undisturbed by the crowd. The fight was not too brutal - rather they both were messing with each others without much of an attempt to even try kill the other one... too quickly. Alusia soon enough, however, fell to the ground, her silver blade being tossed away along the ground while falling. Rolling over to lie on her back, she looked up at the man, who quickly kneeled down to inspect her. With Alusia's blindness, she did not know how the man looked by 'details', but he chuckled, helping Alusia up. A long talk was betwene them and thus, the unexpected happen: They were siblings. Both children of Rethda. His name was Turidas. Two days after this, Turidas was preparing to leave the Haven of Myths and tried to get Alusia to follow him - which she gladly was willing to do, to finally know how the surface looked like. Of course, Arunest was against this, leading to one option: Escaping. While Turidas managed to get away, he didn't succed to help his sister to escape, yet promising he would do anything to get her out soon enough. Ten years later, it was a celebration - the so-called 'Goddess' of the Belore'dali were visiting this haven through a member's body. The entrance to the surface would be opend for the whole day for all the myth hunters and vampires to come and meet her. Even Arunest had a slight 'excitment' to meet the one he'll one day will put to an end and drain ever last drop of her blood for himself and gain even more power. This was the only chance for Alusia to make her escape and she did. She fought many guards who tried to keep her jailed in the haven, but she fought them off, no matter how much they tried. She end up badly wounded... but managed. She finally got out of the haven, falling down against the ground. The green, soft grass... she never would see it, but it was there... she felt like she was in heaven... the air was fresh, she felt the wind brush her hair. Her wounds kept her pinned down, thinking atleast that her end would be peaceful, and wonderful. But then a man came - he was in a dark armor, badly wounded himself, his throat was bleeding, shards of his sword was in his arm. She could hear him whisper: "Took your time, kid." Her necklace was shaking - clearly he was a vampire... a new vampire. Yet he had one necklace too as her necklace traced. She fell unconsious. The next thing she knew: She was in a bed in a large room, tables almost everywhere with seats around them. A young woman came in, smiling at her. "You're awake! Welcome to Fairbreeze Village, I am certaint Turidas will be most happy to see you awake!" |
